Learn to Play
Oh My Gods β your first game in minutes
How It Works
Four concepts power every game of OMG.
Gather Your Gems
Summon Beings
Evolve & Ascend
Attack & Defend
Each Turn β Four Phases
Phases 1β3 happen automatically. Phase 4 is where you play.
Refresh
All your Beings and Gems in play are returned to active (vertical) mode. Per-turn power modifiers are cleared.
Draw
Draw 1 card from your Being deck. The first player skips this draw on turn 1.
Gem Charge
Add 2 Gems from your Gem deck to your Gem Zone (face up, active). Max 8 in play. The second player starts with 3 gems on turn 1 to balance going second. Once your Being deck hits 0 cards, you can instead equip active Gems to Beings for +1 Power until your next Refresh.
Advancement β Your Action Phase
Take any of these actions in any order, as many times as you can afford:a) Play a Being to an empty locationb) Declare an Attack with an active Beingc) Evolve a Being on the field (once per Being per turn)d) Rest a Gem to draw a card
Quick Rules
Everything you need to know before your first game.
π΄ Game Setup
Build Deck β Each player brings a Being Deck (36 cards) and a Gem Deck (up to 8 gems). A coin flip decides who goes first.
Draw Hand β Draw 6 cards. You get one mulligan: put any cards back and redraw the same number.
Set Life β Set aside 3 cards face-down as your Life cards. When hit, a life card goes to your hand.
Ready β P1: 0 draw + 2 gems. P2: 1 draw + 3 gems. Every turn after: draw 1, gain 2 gems, refresh.
π Gem System
Gems are your resource. Gain 2 per turn (max 8). Spend them to play Beings or evolve. Rest an active Gem to draw a card. Gems refresh at the start of your turn β nothing carries over as spent.
πΊοΈ The Field
Three locations: Left, Center, Right. When you play a Being, choose its location. If all three are full, you must send one stack to the Abyss first to free a slot.
New Beings have summoning sickness β they can't attack the turn they're played. Exception: if you're at 0 life, all Beings can attack immediately.
πΊ Evolution
Stack a higher-level card onto one already in play. Pay only the cost difference between levels. The evolved Being inherits the power of everything stacked below it.
Each Being can evolve once per turn. You can't evolve backwards β if you skip from L1 to L3, an L2 can't be added. Evolved Beings have summoning sickness that turn β attack first, then evolve if needed.
βοΈ Combat
Each Being can attack once per turn. You can attack a rested (horizontal) Being directly, or attack the opponent's Life if no rested Beings are in range.
Being vs Being β Compare power. The lower power Being is destroyed. A tie = no damage to either. Type advantages apply.
Life Attack β The defender may block with an active Being, or discard cards from hand to add their power as a defense pool. The defender needs more power than the attacker to survive. If unblocked with 0 life remaining, the game ends.
Type Matchups
12 types β each strong against one and weak against another. Type advantages double or halve damage.

Each card's type, strong-against, and weak-against is also shown on the card hover tooltip during play.
Winning
Both players start with 3 Life cards. When a life attack lands, one Life card goes to the defender's hand.
At 0 life, summoning sickness is removed β play Beings and attack immediately. But the next successful attack against you ends the game.
